Protection Déployable Modulaire Anti-Drone - France comprehensive modular counter-UAS system providing 360-degree protection.

PARADE

System Overview

What It Is

PARADE (Protection Déployable Modulaire Anti-Drone) is France primary counter-UAS system, developed by a consortium led by CS Group and Thales to protect military installations and high-value events.

How It Works

The system combines radar, goniometer, and optronic sensors for detection and tracking. Once a threat is confirmed, operators can employ integrated jamming systems to neutralize the drone by disrupting control links and GPS.

Primary Capability

Modular, deployable counter-UAS providing detection, identification, and neutralization with 360-degree coverage in all weather conditions.

Combat Record / Operational History

Deployed during Paris 2024 Olympics, successfully detected and contributed to the arrest of 50+ individuals attempting unauthorized drone flights. French Navy achieved first combat UAS intercept using PARADE-derived MAJES jammer against Houthi drones in Red Sea (December 2024).

Overview

PARADE represents France answer to the growing UAS threat, providing military installations and critical events with comprehensive drone detection and defeat capability.

Development History

Developed under a EUR 350 million contract by a consortium including CS Group, Thales, CerbAir, and other French defense companies. The system achieved operational status in 2024.

Combat Record

PARADE gained international recognition during the Paris 2024 Olympics where it provided airspace security. The system successfully detected numerous unauthorized drones, leading to over 50 arrests. The naval variant achieved the French Navy first combat drone intercept in December 2024.

Export Potential

The system modular design and proven effectiveness position it well for export to allied nations seeking comprehensive C-UAS capability.
