Medium-Range Intercept Capability - Marine Corps system derived from Iron Dome featuring SkyHunter interceptor.
System Overview
What It Is
MRIC (Medium-Range Intercept Capability) is the Marine Corps solution for defending against cruise missiles and larger drones, derived from Israel proven Iron Dome system.
How It Works
The system uses the G/ATOR radar for detection and the SkyHunter interceptor (US-produced Tamir) for engagement, providing capability similar to Iron Dome.
Primary Capability
Medium-range air defense against cruise missiles and UAS using Iron Dome-derived technology.
Overview
MRIC provides the Marine Corps with organic medium-range air defense, filling a critical gap between short-range systems and national missile defense.
