“Such special operations are of strategic importance, because they weaken the ability of the Russian Federation to control the airspace, coordinate the work of air defense facilities and strike at Ukraine. The defeat of the electronic intelligence centers opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian drones and complicates Russia from protecting military facilities in the deep rear,” the ministry added.
In the statement, the SBU said the strike hit several buildings and antenna complexes that formed a part of an FSB signals intelligence hub responsible for intercepting communications and supporting Russian strikes against Ukraine.
