During the demonstration, the KORKUT 25 system showcased both its hard-kill and soft-kill capabilities against modern UAV threats. In physical destruction scenarios, target drones detected by the system’s AESA-based AURA radar were neutralised mid-air using the KORKUT 25 system and ATOM 25 programmable smart ammunition.
In functional neutralisation scenarios, drone targets at various ranges were identified using radar and electro-optical sensors before being neutralised through KANGAL FPV electronic jamming systems. The demonstration comprehensively presented the system’s AI-supported detection and identification capabilities, its integrated engagement ability with different effectors, and its multi-layered defence approach to all participating delegations.
The live-fire event was met with significant interest and appreciation from the attending nations, providing a direct opportunity to observe the KORKUT 25 system’s effectiveness under field conditions. The demonstration underlined Aselsan’s growing capabilities in AI-driven counter-drone technology at a time of increasing global demand for such systems.
